The Townships of Hillsboro, Union and Whitestown in Vernon county, borders the Town of Forest. A portion of Wild Cat State Park lies in the north west corner of the township.There are thirty-six square miles of land in the township, with a 2007 population of 609 residents. Forest also has 13,234 acres of farmland, which incorporates 138 dairy and non-dairy farms.
